While it is not possible to reduce radon to zero, the best approach is to lower the radon level as much as possible. According to the Ohio Department Of Health Radon is the number one cause of lung cancer for non-smokers and the second leading cause of lung cancer in smokers. There are many different varieties of mold, some are harmless and others not so much. Mold is fungi that can grow anywhere with enough water and oxygen and can start growing in as little as 24 hours. When mold spores are outside they pose little risk. However, if mold makes its way inside your property, it should be dealt with as soon as its noticed. Mold reproduces by releasing tiny spores that travel through the air. Exposure can cause , coughing and wheezing, irritation of the throat, eyes, and skin. Some people with allergies and other lung diseases can experience much more serious symptoms. In immuno-compromised people, mold exposure can cause significant lung infections. It doesn't just exacerbate asthma symptoms; the Ohio Healthy Homes Network says it has even been linked to the development of asthma.
Wood-destroying insects (WDI) are capable of causing significant property damage. The signs of termite, carpenter ants/bees, powderpost beetle or other wood-destroying insect activity isn’t always simple to spot, but early detection can help preserve your investment and save you thousands in repair costs. That’s why we recommend WDI inspections be included as part of any general home inspection and before finalizing any real-estate transaction. Even if your not selling or buying its still a good idea to periodically get this inspection to maintain the longevity of your property.

A sewer scope is a video inspection of the lateral sewer line leading from the house at/near the foundation and connecting to the city or HOA tap or septic tank. A lateral sewer line is the privately-owned pipeline connecting the property to the publicly-owned main sewer line, HOA tap, or septic tank. Sewer-scoping the line can reveal blockages, damage to the pipe system, and other problems, which are vital for homeowners and home buyers to be aware of. For example, if there is a damp depression in the lawn above the sewer line, or if there is backflow into the home, or if contaminants have been discovered in the potable water supply, a sewer scope inspection can be critical to identifying and confirming these problems, which must be addressed immediately.
